Festival Information
THE 8-MINUTE MADNESS FESTIVAL, 2011, produced by Turtle Shell
Productions, returns for its NINTH SEASON at our state-of-the-art theater in the heart
of Times Square.
The selected plays, presented in three group
s of 9, will be directed by carefully
selected directors, performed by New York Actors, and mounted by a team of
experienced set, lighting, sound, and costume designers. The run of up to 12
performances will be publicized by our marketing team.
As in the past, audience members will not only discover fresh new work offered by
innovative writers but will have the opportunity to vote for "BEST PERFORMANCE
BY AN ARTIST" and "THE BEST PLAYWRIGHT OF 2011." At the end of the run,
the recipients of the “Best Playwright” and “Best Performance” awards will receive
the 8-Minute Madness Playwright Festival Trophies at the Artist Celebration
Awards Ceremonies.
